Friends of Sandsage Bison Range (FOSBR) is a voluntary organization dedicated to the protection and improvement of the Sandsage Bison Range and Wildlife Area. We invite your participation in the work of FOSBR.

The buffalo herd is the biggest thing on the Refuge, but not the only thing. Other animals who inhabit the refuge are the lesser prarie chicken, quail, ground squirrels, jackrabbits and deer. The lake is stocked with trout in the spring and fall. Wildflowers and birds are abundant.

The goal of the Friends of Sandsage Bison Range is to develop, implement and sustain a system to accommodate the increased demand for tours of the refuge to the general public
