Finney County United Way Board of Directors
The Board is a key leadership asset for Finney County United Way. The responsibilities of the board begin at the fiduciary level but include much more. Board members help the organization access social, intellectual, reputational, and financial capital.
Each Board member works to advance the mission of Finney County United Way and devotes the necessary time and energy – including outside the regular Board meetings and committee meetings – during their term of service.
Board members provide oversight and due diligence of financial and operational matters; the Board is the foundation of trust for stakeholders and constituents and the community-at-large. To ensure effective governance, Board members are asked to serve on at least one committee that handles operational matters.
Board meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm, except for November and December where they are held on the 3rd Tuesday. During COVID, meetings are conducted in a hybrid-style that includes a combination of in-person and Zoom. If you are interested in serving on the board or would like more information, contact Deb Oyler at 620.275.1425 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
